In all the craziness of the past few weeks, I missed the boys monthly update. We had a very busy summer so far. In July we had our family from Brazil here, and the last few weeks with Patricia.
The boys got to enjoy hanging out with their older cousins - and spent quite a bit of time making sure Nando had sufficient sunscreen on.
The day after my friends left we had a big scare with Antonio. Antonio had a febrile seizure, and had to be rushed to the ER by ambulance. He recovered very quickly thankfully, and we are now aware and alert to this new issue with Antonio. We are told that he should outgrow the risk of having febrile seizures by the time he is 6 or 7, but until then, we are going to be cautious and nervous every time he has a fever.
The Davis Fire Department saw that there were siblings left behind on the day that Antonio was taken to the ER- in order to make the boys and Amelia feel better they brought them out to the fire truck, let them climb all over the truck, ring the bell, turn on the lights and turn a very scary situation into a fun end of the day.
Thanks to best neighbors ever Tracy Ferragamo for taking these photos, helping out with the kids and then she and her husband Chris bringing us DINNER! Seriously so blessed.
The first weekend in August was Amelia's Peter Pan Play and a visit from Grandpa Tom and Pat, and Jeff and Karen who were on their way to move to Michigan.

Antonio:
Sweet boy you gave us such a scare. Mike and I weren't even home when it happened, and I NEVER want to get a call like that again - my mom did well though... "everything is fine, but we are in an ambulance on the way to the ER." ugh. Since the seizure and recovery from the virus though, you have been so cuddly, and attached to me. Also in the past month you've also gotten really funny, love to make funny faces and make your brothers laugh. Harris is always pointing at you and saying "Antonio funny!" You also have started talking so much. You are a full sentence boy coming up to me and saying "Momma? Antonio play dot dot? Antonio yellow ball and blue dot dot please?" You have serious opinions about the color of your balloons and crayons - hoarding all the blue crayons if possible. You will carry them around the house and outside and hide them from your brothers so you can have them later. The other day you thought your brothers were coming to take them and you tripped while running away and rather than let your crayons go, you crashed down onto your elbows. Your latest fiasco was also getting into your diaper during your nap... and COATING your bed. Gross, kid. But, scares and grossness aside, you are really growing and developing and changing so much lately. You are the best and most focused at soccer, you love the t-ball, you still love to line up all your toys and you still draw balloons everywhere.
Harris
You are still my big happy guy - you love to meet new people and greet everyone with a big giant wave "HELLO!" and if they leave they get an equally happy "BYE BYE HAVE FUN!" whenever someone leaves. You love to gallop and walk around in mom and Amelia's shoes. You call my high heeled pointy shoes "airplane shoes" and they are your favorite. You are the biggest water child. The one with the tubes in his ears and the whitest skin is of course the one that wants to be outside in the sun, in the pool all the time. But you are SO good about letting us put the tubes in your ears! If we forget you say "Harris ears!" and you help us put them in. If they start to slip out you run over "Oh no! oh no!" You have started saying "Harris don't want to" instead of "no" when something isn't to your liking, or the even more polite "No thanks!" You want to try and go to the bathroom but haven't had too much success in actually using the bathroom. You love to go down the roller coaster, jump on the trampoline, and at soccer you prefer to throw the ball rather than kick it.
LAWRENCE
I think .... maybe ... and I hesitate to even write it... that you have mostly stopped biting. Phew. Your brothers still accuse you of biting if you get too close to them. They call you and you call yourself "Laurie." You have stopped calling Antonio "Otto" and call him Antonio now, which is also cute, but we are sad to lose the nickname. You had so much fun with your godfather Uncle Boff while he was here, and you still talk about him all the time. You love to play legos, and cars, but your favorite is to play with the teeeeeny tiny animals and play with them in the house. You make them talk to one another and you say "HI tiny shark doot-doot, I'm a horse neigh neigh." So cute. You want to share with your brothers quite a bit and get very frustrated if they do not want to be shared with. You love to read books in bed, and read them to your elmo and your bunny. You love the song Amelia taught you "slippery fish" and sing it to yourself when you play.
AMELIA
You continue to be such an amazing big sister and confident girl. You have found your place in the theatre and nothing can stop you! You jumped right into action taking care of your little brothers when Antonio had to go to the hospital, showing calm and maturity above your years. I took you away to Tahoe this past weekend for girl time before you start at your new school. So excited for what this next year will bring.
