Boys - I cannot believe you are almost 2. Two years ago I was barely moving. 32 weeks pregnant Last year, I was still spinning. Eleven Months This year, we have gotten into a pretty good routine, we can all leave the house and do things as a family with quite regular success.
First visit to Funderland:
Amelia's softball opening day:
ANTONIO
You are my analyst. You sit back, you watch, you inspect... then you come in and take over the situation. Whether it be to take all your brothers' toys, complete the puzzle, organize the blocks. You have started getting into playing with your brothers - roughly - and crack up when you pile on top of each other. You decide when you've had enough - take any and all toys that you want - and go off into the corner to play. You sing all day long, and we hear you singing to your self "ABC's, Jingle Bells, and the Clean up Clean Up" song. If you hear "Wheels on the Bus" you stop whatever you're doing and the arm motions get going. You're talking so much more, but still have the crazytown high pitched scream when you think someone might be horning in on your well-organized blocks/cars/pile of crackers. You know your numbers and letters, but would really prefer to keep that to yourself. You don't enjoy performing like your brothers do. But you would like the applause - so you will insert yourself into whatever situation is getting laughs or applause as well. You love "Baby" on TV and will ask for it all day long, and dance and shout "YAY Baby!!!" if we put it on. But when you're done with something (toy, book, tv show) EVERYONE must be done with it. You demand "bye bye ... BYE BYE!" to the thing you are done with until we remove it, turn it off, put it away. Your brothers have gotten used to this, and when you start with the bye bye, they look at me with a look of resignation... and put it away. Oh... this is only the beginning between you 3.
You prefer to kick back in your frog chair -- You were not so much a fan of the rides at Funderland.
HARRIS
Harris - you WERE a huge fan of the rides at Funderland, shouting "WHEEEEEE" and "YAY!" on every ride. You rode this particular ride 6 times. This was also a favorite of your sister's when she was your age. SAME ONE!!! LOOK!!
Harris you are just a giant baby full of joy. You are such a crack up. You love the phone, you love to take photos of yourself, you just love love love everything and everyone. You have to get tubes in your ears this month because of your hearing loss - and I'm worried you're so happy because maybe you can't hear all the CHAOS around you!?? But if your language is as advanced as it is now, we're hopeful that when you can hear everything - it will get even better. You can count to 20, count to 10 in portuguese, know all your colors in both portuguese and english - you love to read with Patricia which is really helping your languages! Now when you're looking for something, you say "Cade?"("Where" in Portuguese"). You have named your brothers Otto and Laurie and you call yourself Harry. I AM NOT ACCEPTING OF THIS NICKNAME but it is just too cute when you say it. You love to Dance, and Jump and play hopscotch and color. You are just a bundle of happy and big belly laughs.
LAWRENCE
So - you are my climbing, jumping, falling, daredevil who apparently HATES all the rides at Funderland. You wanted nothing to do with it and I was shocked. Every time we tried to put you on a ride, you forced your legs into the splits so you could not be placed into the car/logride/saucer/airplane. If you are going to try and knock yourself out you prefer to do it by jumping off the back of the couch or slide thank you very much. You are constantly talking - and about 5% of it is actual words, which is hysterical. "Yaba jaba gabba gabba blah blah AIRPLANE yaba jaba boi boi ga ga BALL MAMA MINE?" Love it. You are napping less and less which I OBJECT TO. The last couple of naps you made yourself sick not wanting to be in bed. Seriously kid - you can not be running non stop from 7am to 8pm. Just, no. You still love Elmo and your Seek and Find books - and you love to do Starfall on the ipad. It is so funny to watch one of your brother's pick a letter and say "NO S" and you say "YES S!" and pick the S you wanted to see. You say "YES" with enthusiasm for things you want. I somehow knew you would be the first to do so.
