Happy Fall with my little pumpkins.

Its the beginning of October (and 100 degrees today - what the what?!).  So, we're coming up on my favorite holiday... Halloween.  I got a little overexcited and bought the boys two sets of Halloween costumes.  The three little pigs (c'mon, right?) and pumpkins.  Amelia was a pumpkin her first halloween, and it was cute when it was just one... am I right?

Also, can we talk about how much she looks like Antonio here? 

So, I tried to get a photo of the 3 boys in their pumpkin costumes, and it is HARD people to get three 4 month old babies to be happy in the same photo at the same time.  Here's one shot.  Antonio and Harris on the ends look fairly happy, but Lawrence is highly suspicious.

Antontio became resigned to the whole photo shoot...

Lawrence had a tear rolling down his chin.

Harris was asking his brother for help "how do we get out of here?"

Lawrence passed the question down to Antonio who was oblivious to their plight and giving me his Buddy Hackett smiles...

Lawrence soon came around to the realization he was never getting his chubby legs out of the Bumbo unless he smiled... so, finally I got one of him smiling...

But now, of course, he is the only happy one in the photo.

Creating a record...

People who know me know I am constantly taking (too many) photos, and videos of any little gathering, even if its just a playdate. But I am never sorry I have too many of those photos. Amelia loves to go back and look at her old photos - and its the candid ones of playdates that she loves the best. Yes, ALL of the proffessional ones we took of her are proudly displayed, but it is so fun to look back and old photos and especially videos to see and hear her little mannerisms.

The other day we had friends over for dinner and I was able to quickly pull up an old youTube video of our daughters singing and dancing when they were 3. I quickly took a video of them at our house now to compare to those old videos. Here's the comparison:

The end of summer...

Summer ending is always really hard, but this year was harder than ever before. This summer I got to be home with Amelia and my boys. She didn't have to get shuttled from camp to camp to came... She got to hang out at home, we got to just play with the babies, Amelia and I got to have special mommy/daughter fun days too.

Even when school started, I was still on maternity leave so I got to go to swim team, and pick her up with the early kids on a regular basis.

This weekend is the first day of fall and it's the end of my summer of fun. Yes, these 4 months with the babies has been one of healing, little sleep, and juggling schedules. But it's also been one of lazy days by the pool in the middle of the week, some days at home all day in pjs snuggling babies, and having wonderful visitors.

Monday I go back to work and it's harder than I ever imagined it would be. I'm so lucky I work someplace where I love the work and the people or it would be impossible!

Four months old

Over the weekend the boys turned four months old. I can't believe it. Time has gone by so fast. We had their doctor's appointment today for shots (boo) and check up on stats. The boys are continuing to do so well. Antonio and Harris continue to be a little reflux-ey so they are on a gentle formula and baby doses of Zantac to help them. They seem to be much happier.

ANTONIO

Antonio is our super smiley guy. He has a very big sideways Buddy Hackett smile, is a big laugher. He is still our loudest guy, and up until the doctor's appointment today, we thought he was the biggest guy. He goes out and about with mom a lot because he has the best head contol, and is fussier at home than out with people. At his appointment today he was 25 1/2 inches long and weighed 18.5 lbs!

HARRIS

Harris used to be "the easy one" and has recently found his voice. He no longer sits by and waits patiently for his turn. He knows the squeaky wheel gets the grease and he has decided to be squeaky. Super loud and squeaky. Harris has a big deep laugh and is more entertained by physical humor (jiggling his feet) than silly faces. He has outpaced his brother and is the biggest again at 25 1/2 inches long and 18.6 lbs.

LAWRENCE

Finally! A baby that looks like it is mine! Lawrence is the first baby we've ever had that has brown eyes. And he has a very intense little stare. He's very aware of his brothers and where they are and what they are doing. He has a big smile and laugh - usually for his sister Amelia. He, like all his brothers, prefers her to just about anyone. Lawrence is keeping up with his brothers and is 17.15 lbs.
