Oops - sorry for the long delay in updates here, but we have had lots of visitors from all sides of the family and time has flown. We had the boys' 2 month appointment this week complete with shots and updates on their growth. The shots were rough, both on the trio as well as mom and dad. More on that later.
First the good: The boys had a GREAT 2 month update they are ridiculously large and healthy. They continue to shock the doctor with their growth.
Antonio
is in the 95th percentile compared to full term babies born on May 8th! He is 14 lbs 6 oz. and 23 1/2 inches long
Harris
is a full pound smaller but still in the 70th percentile at 13lbs 7 oz. and is the the tallest at 24 1/4 inches long and has the biggest head
Lawrence
has more than tripled his weight since birth and is at the 50th percentile at 13 lbs 3 oz and although he looks smaller, he is as long as Antonio at 23 1/2 inches long.
The bad: After they had their shots the doctor advised that if they were fussy or got a fever we should give them a "syringe full of tylenol." Being fairly sleep deprived since we'e been without a night nurse for a few nights (embarrassing story about me having a total meltdown at 1am and firing the night nurse and sending her home) I just thought "ok, yeah... a syringe" without asking the total amount or anything. At around 8pm when the boys started screaming in pain, I forced a syringe full of tylenol down two of their poor little throats. When I went to give Antonio a syringe full at 10 pm I started to think... really? A syringe? Like, aren't they all a different size? Then I looked at the bottle and it said in lovely bold red letters "Please tell your doctor this is a different concentration." Wha? Long story short, I overdosed the boys, and as a result had to wake them up every 2 hours for the rest of the night... oy vey. Lucky for me, Antonio was his usual self and he was up every 2 hours anyway! :-)
The last month has been a whirlwind of visitors. We had my family from Rio, my brother and girlfriend from Seattle, my brother and girlfriend from San Francisco... Grandpa Tom and Pat came back for a visit. It was busy with the 4th of July holiday and a couple of swim meets for Amelia. Here's some of the highlights:
