It's Here! It's Here! 40 days are up!

And yet, now I'm a little out of the practice of trolling online for bargains... but I have been eyeing these two wallets.  The first one converts to a cross body bag.  Unless anyone else has items I should be looking for.

 
And this one is just a cute wallet. 

 

Thoughts?  I mean, I like them but they just don't seem exciting enough to be the after the 40 day ban item?

reminds me of the dress that Julia Roberts wore to the horse races in the movie, Pretty Woman.

 

I loved that dress.  I totally want this Anne Klein dress - its 75% off on Ideeli.  But, not only am I not online shopping, they don't have my size, so that helps the temptation... if only slightly.  Only 1 more week of no online shopping to go!

Are kitten heels still in?

I have a pair of shoes I wear almost once a week.  Franco Sarto kitten heels - grey.  They go with just about everything and are so comfortable.

 
They are getting pretty banged up so I have been searching for a replacement pair.  But no online shopping makes it tough.  Not buying these today.

 

I do not consider this a material violation.

My 40 day fast is only an on-line shopping related ban.  Not a total all out no shopping ban.  But, because of my schedule and travling lately, it has really resulted in a total shopping ban.  Possibly until today.

I have a friend who is obsessed with White House Black Market (Holla Francesca!) and we spent the bulk of last year working together.  I'd frequently comment on her super cute and chic SF wardrobe (mostly black, nerd glasses) and her answer invariable was WHBM. (That's the cool acronym apparently for those in the know... or possibly just her).

In my non-online shopping-ness I just decided to check it out and saw this dress that I tried on a few months ago and almost bought - at full price - and it is now over 50% off. 

 
I decided to make an exception and I even filled out all the online shopping information.  But then, I found a loophole - I called the store.  And they had the dress.  In my size.  On sale.  And they are holding it for me.  I do not consider this a material violation of the letter of my promise to myself.

I immediately emailed Francesca to let her know of my total score.  Not 5 minutes later she emailed back that she had gone onto the site and cursed me for causing her to go on the site and buy something.  (Forcing others into online purchases is apparently my only superpower.)

I was out of town for several days which typically keeps me off the online shopping.  However, I did see a super-cute tote bag at the hotel where I was staying, and I almost bought it.  And I didn't, but I just went to look for it online, and I found it at over 50% off what I saw it for at the hotel. 

That's the kind of thing that kills me.  Such a deal!  I would have paid full price!  Can't I make an exception?

Easter is only 2 weeks away, hold strong and hopefully this cute Tuk Tuk Lug tote will still be available then.

 
 

Feel the Rhythm.

I think my online shopping problem was not really with online shops but these "sale" shops that have different sale items for ONE DAY ONLY! And you can't RESIST!  And you don't want to MISS OUT!! 

Most of the impulse items I've been not buying lately are from these sites.  Today is no exception.  I love these D'orsay pumps, they are by Poetic License and they are called "Feel the Rhythm" which has me singing Gloria Estefan's Conga all morning much to everyone's chagrin. 

And they are orange... le sigh.

I love the grey/blue of these shoes.  I can think of 1,000 things to wear with them and they look super comfortable.  They're also a great deal at Ideeli.com so I would have probably clicked on them, if not for this shopping ban.

I was tempted today by these lovely tromp l'oeil boots by Marc Jacobs... but I don't want to tempt the rain to come back just so I can wear them.
