I love luggage. I love packing, but unpacking - not so much. Having just returned from quick trip, I'm still thinking about traveling items. I love the brightly colored luggage that you can spot right when it comes out of the baggage claim. When I was growing up my parents had canary yellow and bright baby blue leather luggage. We could always spot it easily. My mom was so sad when the luggage got sliced by some sort of knife or boxcutter in Miami one year on the way to Rio. She duct taped it for a few years, but finally had to give up the luggage to some newer, less unique, black fabric.
I have orange and red luggage. The red, I'm finging is not as unique as it once was, but my orange luggage still stands out on the conveyer. I feel badly for the owners of all those black boring luggage bags with their numerous tags and ribbons in an attempt to make them unique so that someone doesn't inadvertently pick them up.
I'm tempted today by a sale on Tumi (the Rolls Royce of luggage) - and on Gilt.com they have several in orange. Silly buyers not realizing that's the color they should snap up.
