I cheated a little and bought a new shirt for my 20 year High School Reunion this weekend. (yeesh.) But I also wanted to purchase this, but did not. Small victories.

Back to basics
So, how has it been a whole month? Today my horoscope said this:
You have a wonderful chance to revamp your image from the outer details to the inner. That goes double when it comes to matters financial. Keep a close eye on your wallet now. The same impulses that lead you to make change easily might also lead you to spending money foolishly. If your credit cards are talking to you, maybe it's time to cut them up or lock them away.
So, back to the poverty party and savings. First, August is going to be another 30 day shopping ban. I think just doing one of these every 3 months will be great. Expanding it to no itunes, and no lunches at work. I also joined the Smart Rate pricing plan with PG&E, so we'll see how that adds up too!
Item of the day that I will not be purchasing today:
That's right - no coffees at work. Bring it from home or drink the fairly decent stuff in the office.
Also - reverse shopping item of the day: Returning the blue chucks. Recall from last shopping ban?
Well, I got them and they made my feet look big. So, back they go.
