I'm pretty sure this must be the new coolest craze sweeping the toddler set since this is what we do almost every day upon arriving from school.
Amelia likes to take all of her shirts, pants, skirts, pjs, etc. from her drawers and sort them out of the floor.
You can see in the chair she has started piling the "summery pants" all the shirts are in the pile on the right. All the pants are in the pile on the left with her skirts. After they're all properly piled on the ground, she'll sort the skirts from the pants.
Then she sorts the pants from the "comfy cozy stretchy" pants to the "jeans" (which are essentially all other pants).
This can go on for an hour. God forbid you try to put them away before she's done. She'll roll around on top of them to keep you from taking away her precious clothes.
Sometimes she'll try them all on too. You can see from this photo that we're mid-sorting project day and she's wearing a "twirly shirt" and tights. Quite a combo. If I let her she'll do the same thing with all her shoes.
