Three is the magic number.

Discussion this morning overheard between Antonio and Harris:

Antonio: "I found a piece of a dragon Lego!  We should find all the pieces and rebuild it!"

Harris: "Ok, here's the directions, and it says we have to find 256 pieces to build it."

Antonio: "Well, I have 2 pieces."

Harris: "Let's try for 3 days to find all the pieces."

Antonio: "Why 3 days?"

Harris: "Well, people say 'Third Time's a Charm' so i think we try for 3 days and that will be a charm."

Antonio: "But 3 days?"

Harris: "Yes, and people say 3 is a magic number and it's our lucky number because we are triplets."

Antonio: "Ok."

Think I'm going to start blogging again

2 year hiatus.  

 

Just NO, Gap.

 

 

Can we take a moment to look at the women at the bottom with the super high rise jeans with the zipper that is going to take a week to zip up like in the 90210 days?  Are they advising us to tuck in an blouse our shirts?  Do I need to go digging through the attic for my sweet Vuarnet T-shirt from CRAZY SHIRT that I got at Pier 39 that Summer that I bought in a size XL even though I weighed 115 lbs?  Just.  No.

Valentine's

I'll do my year end holiday wrap up soon. But for today, boys have their first Valentines party at school and they practiced writing their names on their valentines bags.

Harris added a few extra "R"s probably making up for that Christmas card year when he had a missing one.

Harris also tried to work on his middle name "Matthew"

Lawrence is going with a deconstructed name thing.

Antonio was so proud and would like to keep all the valentines for himself.

Morning rainbows . . . fight about rainbows, that is.

Overheard in the boys room as they were waking up.

Antonio: Blue

Harris: Yellow

Lawrence: Red 

[I walk in...]

Harris:  Mommy - we're playing a rainbow game, we each take a turn and name the next color in the rainbow.

[heart melts]

Lawrence: Purple

Harris: [walks over to Lawrence's bed stands over him and yells] NO!!! It's not time for purple!

Lawrence: no no no no no... i'm not saying it's next, I'm just saying don't forget purple.  It's Mima's favorite. 

Scenes from an evening. Three year old style.

Sitting outside on the lawn, eating snacks with the boys, watching them play between snacks...

Antonio: I have an idea! I'm going inside for ice cream.

Me: No.  We don't need ice cream

Antonio:  I'll just go check

Me: No, we don't even have any.

Antonio: Maybe I check for popsicles.

Me: No, we don't have any and we are outside right now.

Antonio: [opens door to house... starts to go inside]

Me: Antonio. What are you doing?

Antonio: I doing nothing. [continues opening door to house]

Me: No you need to come here, not going inside right now.

Antonio: Umm.... [continues to go inside and shut door slowly] I'll be right back

Me: No.  we are not going inside. Why do you want to go inside...

Antonio: I just need to see something.  

Me: What?

Antonio: ummmm [closes door]

Me: Antonio?

Antonio: Ice cream?

[REPEAT UNTIL BEDTIME]

 

School start 2015

Well, the whole summer has gone by and I haven't done a monthly update for the boys, our trip to Rio and now everyone is starting school!  

Amelia 5th Grade

Amelia - You had your first overnight camp this summer, did a fashion and accessories camp, got the part of Piglet in Winnie the Pooh at Woodland Opera House and got started on rehearsals which you love.  I can't believe you're starting 5th grade!

 

It seems like just yesterday you were starting at a new school.

 

You still have your great group of friends at Pioneer.

 

Almost the same crew from last year!

 

Finally, one with all of the girls at the ice cream party after school.  Thanks Amy!

Boys First Visit to Preschool

Boys officially start school next week, but today was the first day for them to come visit the school, see their classroom, meet some of their classmates and teachers.  

Sweet boys agreed to pose for me.

 

Walking into the first of many classrooms for them ... boohoo!!!!  I love how they all kind of hung on to each other to make sure their brothers were coming in ok.  Once we got in there they all went their separate ways and also played together a bit.

 

Antonio and Lawrence found some animals and set right down to creating a story.  

 

ANTONIO - you immediately found the puzzles in the classroom.  You love puzzles, legos and building.  Your favorite color is blue.  You come up to me every morning and say "I like you momma"

HARRIS - You were the first to fill out your snack paper and cover it with stickers.  Your favorite color is yellow.  You love to tell stories and you introduced your brothers to everyone at school.  You often tell stories about things that happened "yesternight."

 

LAWRENCE - You were so excited about the teeny potty and teeny sink.  Your favorite color is red.  You giggled and told your teacher the interrupting cow knock knock joke.  You were laughing too hard to have anyone understand you.

 

Pat - Nos estamos tao feliz que voce esta aqui para ver estes meninos crecer.  Eles te amar tanto.  

 

 

June 2015 update

AMELIA

Amelia - my fun, confident girl.  You hiked for 5 hours and were a trooper.  You only complained at the end when we got to a winery and they only had juice in a box which didn't seem fancy enough for what you had earned.

 

You're teaching yourself to knit - you love your brothers so much.  We've underplanned your summer just so you can spend more time with them.  

ANTONIO

Antonio - you're enjoying the summer.  You love swimming lessons, but hate that you have to wait until your brothers are done to have your turn.  You love your new gymnastics class.  You've become very sensitive and if I say, "Antonio, I'm going to count to 3" you burst into tears and say "DON'T ONE ME!"   You are very attached to mommy lately - hugging me when I leave and saying "I want you to stay."  oh my heart.  Those eyes are going to get everything they plead for when you're older.

You hug your brothers all the time and tell them "I love you."  You read books to yourself, and cover your eyes through the "scary parts" of the books.   

HARRIS

 

Harris you are my joker and my snuggly boy.  Every night you ask me to "nuggle you" before you fall asleep.  You love your doggy and you don't like scary shows - you do not like the fire truck episode of Little Einsteins because there's a scary part.  

 

you LOVE to swim even though you are the fairest and has all the issues with your ears.  You love to eat picnic dinner and make silly faces.

LAWRENCE

You love to laugh - you love to turn and say "Let's be silly mommy"  You come into a room and say "I have a good idea" with your one finger pointed upwards like out of a cartoon.  You have funny little sayings, and if you hear your brothers arguing you walk in "ok ok ok ok - what is going on here?"  We went to dinner the other night, you pretended to look at the menu and declared "I don't think i'm going to like this even ONE. LITTLE. BIT."  

 

Oh Lawrence, you love the ladies - you had this lifeguard wrapped around your little finger.

FAMILY

 

We're heading to Rio in a couple of weeks.  We haven't been back since you were all 6 months old.  That visit almost killed us.  Mike and I had to immediately turn tail and go to Vegas as soon as we got back just to get some sleep.  The last visit involved:

- international travel with 6 month old triplets

- ear infections

- learning Amelia was allergic to penicillin (2am ER visit)

- 3 day power outage

- hottest day in 60 years - 118 degrees  (this was at the party we held on that day) with no air conditioning

- mosquitoes

- throwing up on strangers on a plane (right before the storm)

So - this visit has nowhere to go but up!

We did have some fun last time we were in Rio seeing family:
